Are you talking a 451? Do you have the old belt to use so the auto parts store can cross reference the part #? Out of curiosity, how many miles are on your car?

Not near my car so I can't tell you what to pull/loosen/unscrew to get at the belt though when I was looking at it the other day I do remember thinking to myself it would be an easy change.

every 451 on the road right now should still be under 24,000 miles and only max of 11 months old.... so fully under warranty for this item...

The owner must be of a 450 series and I would be curious where he or she found the new belt to replace the broken one.... and more curious as to how the belt broke

In any event, as our beloved 451s age this will be an issue

I feel the OPs pain, I have looked and looked and I can NOT see a way to replace this item without lowering the power pack... booo

Also, as long as we are on the belts issue... those of us with A/C are in for a rough time for that drive belt.... The A/C belt is a "stretch fit" belt (no adjuster) that requires a special tool to roll the belt onto, or off of, the drive pullys....

And again, I looked high and low and can not see any way our manly hands and arms can access the location without dropping the power pack

maybe one of the trained techs can chime in and let us know if there is a secret method
